Coffee enthusiasts and cake lovers unite! FIRST DRAFT COFFEE, experts in coffee appreciation and education, will team up with CAMERINO BAKERY, experts in lusciously indulgent cakes, to offer a unique taste-pairing evening. The event will take place in First Draft’s Temple Bar space on Wednesday, February 8 at 7pm, Curved Street above Filmbase, Temple Bar.
Coffee expert Ger O’Donohoe will guide guests through 5 specially selected single origin coffees, discussing flavor profiles, brew technique and sourcing. Cake connoisseur Caryna Camerino will serve 5 specifically designed accompanying bakes, discussing flavor pairings, baking techniques and tasting notes.
About First Draft:
FIRST DRAFT COFFEE provides professional Barista training and workshops led by professional Baristas obsessed with coffee! Their beautiful café is in the heart of Temple Bar, Dublin, where they distribute amazing coffee, roasted by their partners, The Barn in Berlin, and stunning Teas from friends Camellia Sinensisin Montreal.
First Draft is a group of specialty coffee enthusiasts, baristas, industry professionals, authorised SCAE trainers, national competition judges and competitors. They have run espresso bars, cafes and restaurants, trained staff, and competed in Barista competitions.
About Ger O’Donohoe:
Ger has been in coffee for 20 years now, and is endlessly passionate about specialty coffee. As a keen educator he regularly takes up opportunities to share his knowledge and passion in fun and interesting ways. He started First Draft Coffee in 2012 as a freelance barista and trainer and the company has grown to include a wholesale partnership, professional training and consultancy business. The first FDC café opened in 2016 and continues to go from strength to strength.

CAMERINO is a local bakery, cakery, and coffee shop on Dublin’s Capel Street, where everything is freshly baked using the best ingredients and lovin’ from the oven.

About Caryna Camerino:
Caryna is a Canadian baker who was meant to stop in Dublin for 2 days and has not left for 14 years. She started Camerino Bakery with a small weekly market stall in Ranelagh selling cake as a hobby. Caryna was working in Human Resources but knew it wasn’t her passion. Baking made her happy and she continued to put time and effort into that little market stall. Within 2 years Caryna’s Cakes had enough regular and enthusiastic customers to give her the courage to leave her job and work for herself, doing what she loves. She now runs 2 bakeries, employs 10 people and eats cake for both work and pleasure. She is basically living the dream. Basically.
